3D printing, which is the process of making of a three-dimensional object using a digital 3D file, is changing the world. Every industry, from food to aerospace, is impacted by the 3D printing process and students can now develop skills in this area because the technology is becoming more accessible.
In the classroom, 3D printing is important because it can be used as an educational tool to teach STEAM subjects and to prepare students for higher education and fulfilling careers. Through this technology, we can also begin to foster a maker culture in schools where students can learn a variety of subjects by doing. We are especially excited to help students and teachers learn to develop and iterate on their unique ideas in 3D and create physical models, prototypes and inventions using a wide array of 3D printers and other technology.
